i am waking up to catch my bahama-bound flight at 4 AM. i am pained at the thought of waking up this early and could not even fathom donning anything but lacrosse shorts, havianas, and a sorority t-shirt. unlike my idol gaga, i cannot muster the strength to dress in my routine style--here are some of her airport wardrobe choices:

my apologies for my bad blogger behavior. i've had a crazy week--i am gearing up for my family vacation tomorrow to the atlantis resort in the bahamas! hours after i get off the plane (after a stop at the hair salon to be blondified one last time, of course) i will be trekking back to school, where i will be heading recruitment for my sorority. needless to say things have been crazy so i am looking forward to a little r & r.

shiny moments of the week

1. scaffolding is soo last season. dior's 57th street location renovation is masked by this gimundo lady dior bag. to make matters more fabulous, customers who mistakenly show up to this location are chauffered to the madison avenue boutique.

2. thanks to this new york times video, i learned about this awesome "space bubble" crowd surfing technique employed by flaming lips lead singer wayne coyne.

women are more attracted to men donned in red according to a recent study by the university of rochester. scientists found that women viewed, "men in red as higher in status, more likely to make money and more likely to climb the social ladder, and it's this high-status judgement that leads to the attraction."

i beg to differ with this study. my suburban upbringing tells me men in pastels are the way to go.

rachel zoe project season 3 premieres on bravo tonight at 10 pm! while i love rachel's sense of style, it is brad goreski, rachel's assistant and break out star of the show, who has truly won my heart. his style is one that i truly admire--it is classic yet fresh and fun! here are some of my favorite looks:

the eloise suite--designed by betsey johnson (one of my favorite designers!)-- opens at the plaza today! this luxury suite goes for a whopping $995 a night, but includes a monogrammed eloise bathrobe, $100 gift card to the hotel's eloise gift shop, an eloise camera, a framed photo of the guest inside the suite, and an eloise book!

betsey said in an interview with the new york times, "i just wanted the really pretty happy girly fun." mission accomplished!
